Writing May Set You Free

Writing can be a good outlet for you weather it is a personal journal or you publicly blog your journey. According to a U.S.News article, writing about emotionally charged subjects also can improve mental health, including symptoms of depression, anxiety, major depressive disorder and even post-traumatic stress disorder among veterans.

Write down your thoughts, get it out of your system, and move on. It's always interesting to use past writings as a measurement of where you were mentally during the process. Another way to cleanse; is after your write, consider burning it. An article written in Best Self Magazine suggests that burning what you have written may be a therapeutic way of releasing and moving forward. See what works for you, its worth a try. Disclaimer: Fire is dangerous, be careful. If you are going to burn what you have written, do it is a safe place, like your fireplace, or maybe your kitchen sink and make sure the space is well ventilated. Patients, wear a mask.

And if those suggestions don't help, maybe you want to turn your journey into a book. And who knows you may end up writing a best seller.
